SCOPE

UX

Research & Development

User research for K-12 digital learning. This work is focused on how learners are interacting with our product, as well as observations in their learner's native environment.

DACC Research

Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) advances career choices of learners as early as the 9th grade.

For our research, two designers teamed up, taking notes and interview/guide the learner’s through four different activities. Each activity had a unique user interface and different subject matters, varying from middle school to high school level content.

During the exercise, I took thorough notes on physical gestures, facial expressions, and direct quotes from the user. After each activity, we used the Wellington School axis chart to determine the learner’s level of enjoyment and engagement.

In order to stay up-to-date on the advances in education, we observe a classroom once per year. We capture emotional, cognitive, physical, cultural and social perspectives of the environment that our learners and teachers take place in.

School Observation

K-12 Synthesis

The K-12 synthesis was an internal research collective in order to identify standardized grading methods, insights into teaching methods and pain points during the COVID era. Data started with behavioral interviews following Teresa Torres' note-taking structure, followed by collaborating with other researchers through LucidSpark to further organize our findings.
